We know how daunting it can be planning a wedding and then ensuring it all goes to plan, that’s why when it comes to arranging your entertainment, we liked to help lighten that load. With every booking a dedicated member of Soul Train Experiences team will make contact with your chosen venue’s management, or wedding coordinator, and following your pre discussed arrangements,  will work closely with your venue to ensure a smooth running order from start to finish, without you lifting a finger or having a single worry.

WHAT NEXT?

If you are happy with what Soul Train Experience has to offer, all we require is a standard 20% deposit to secure your date with the band, and you’re done. Congratulations you’re going to have one hell of a performance.

IS THAT IT THEN?

​

Nearly... Once we have received your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email, along with a few simple questions such as, name of venue and contact number? do you have any song requests? Start time and finish? As mentioned before, we will work closely with the venues management or coordinator, who should be able to assist us with all the things you don’t have to worry about, such as... When the band can set up? Performance area? And any technical issues.

Upon Arrival

​

Soul Train Experience will arrive fully self-contained with PA, lighting and pre-mixed disco, and will perform 2 x 45 min or 2 x 1 hours of live music ( depending on what has been pre arranged) . The band will cover your whole evening of entertainment so you don't need to hire a separate DJ or any additional equipment.

If your evening reception is in the same room as the meal/speeches, the band would usually arrive to set up in the turnaround time between day and evening. If the room or area for your evening is separate (or curtained off) the band could arrive while you are eating to get set up (they would sound check when suitable and wouldn't interrupt the meal or speeches!) - It takes a minimum of 90 minutes for the band to get fully set up and sound checked.

A guide to a standard evening reception would be:

• 17:00 - Band Arrive

• 19:00 - Background Music On

• 20:00 - First Dance/First Set

• 21:00 - Disco/DJ (ideal time for evening buffet)

• 22:00 - Second Set

• 23:00 - Disco/DJ Until Close

Timings are flexible to suit your needs and live sets can be split 3 x 30 mins if you prefer. Soul Train Experience standard price is based on them arriving at 17:00 earliest and finishing as late as 00:00. For an early arrival or late finish outside of these times, there may be an additional charge.

The band are very happy to perform your choice of first dance for you as long as they have at least two months notice of the song choice.

Soul Train Experience also offer a couple of brilliant daytime music options, choose from instrumental acoustic guitar or a soulful Sax - both can be the perfect addition to your drinks reception or during dinner and can really help set the mood for a great celebration. As the musicians are already booked to perform in the evening, the price of this set represents excellent value when compared to hiring a separate act for your daytime entertainment - it can be as much as 50% cheaper than hiring an equivalent artist to perform.
